Dynamic range of captured thermal neutron (JRR-4, Tokai) and comparison with gold wire

Wide dynamic range of 10E5 - 10E10 [n/cm2/s] is achieved.
Range is shiftable by changing scintillator matrix to lower/higher side. Compared to conventional gold wire method, high spatial resolution and quick response are advantages.

SOF has been used for irradiation monitoring for BNCT thermal/epi-thermal neutron flux.
